GRASS VALLEY RV RESORT
Grass Valley, California
The Grass Valley RV Resort consists of 148 recreational vehicle (RV) spaces with a clubhouse and multiple recreational amenities including pickleball courts, bocce ball, horse shoes, a pool, a dog park, and more. Millennium assisted with the project land planning including CEQA compliance, Use Permit, Development Permit, Annexation, Re-Zone, and neighborhood meetings. Millennium's team members provided survey services, and our team of engineers completed the civil engineering for the project including, but not limited to, grading, drainage and utility design, accessible path of travel design, offsite roadway improvements, hydrology and hydraulic calculations, hydromodification analysis, and storm water pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) services throughout construction. This project required extensive coordination with public agencies, consultants and the clients, and it has transformed into a Nevada County gem that draws visitors and strengthens the local community (completed August 2024).
DOWNTOWN STREETSCAPE IMPROVEMENTS
Grass Valley, California
The Downtown Streetscape Improvement Project was a two phase project for the City of Grass Valley to create a permanent pedestrian plaza on the historic Mill Street and Main Street that supports the local community and businesses. Phase 1 included the construction of a new water line and 37 new water services in Mill Street to serve the local businesses, as well as adding bollards at the entrances to the plaza and parklets in front of two restaurants on Main Street. Phase 2 included surface improvements for the project such as stamped, colored concrete, channel drains, rockery landscape planters, new landscaping, lighting, and fencing. The street finish grade was raised to match the grades of the surrounding sidewalks, resulting in the grading and drainage analysis for the project being precise and complex. This project required extensive coordination with the City of Grass Valley, utility agencies, and the project team to ensure success. The pedestrian plaza enhances the community by creating a safe, accessible, and inviting public space for walking, gathering, and social interaction. It supports local businesses and serves as a venue for events, art, and community engagement, making it a vibrant asset for residents and visitors alike (completed 2023).

TAHOE DONNER MARINA EXPANSION
Truckee, California
The Tahoe Donner Marina Expansion Project consisted of expansion and beautification of the Tahoe Donner Marina. The design included demolition of the existing deck, expansion of a new patio, addition of an outdoor bar building, accessibility improvements, and stormwater quality treatment that was incorporated into the landscaping design. These improvements not only enhanced the marina’s functionality and aesthetic appeal but also created a more welcoming and accessible space for visitors, promoted sustainable site management, and provided a vibrant gathering area that supports community engagement and enjoyment (completed 2025).
MOUNTAIN BREW COFFEE SHOP
Truckee, California
This project transformed a vacant and dilapidated former gas station into a vibrant, attractive development now known as Mountain Brew. The scope included renovation of the existing building along with comprehensive site improvements to accommodate parking requirements, a dual-lane drive-through, utility upgrades, and stormwater treatment. While the drive-through is a key component of the project, the site was intentionally designed to support and encourage pedestrian and bicycle access through connections to public sidewalks and the inclusion of electric bicycle charging stations. Millennium provided land planning, surveying, and civil engineering services for the project, including securing the Use Permit, Zoning Clearance, and building permit for construction. Once an eyesore, the site is now a welcoming destination that enhances the surrounding area and serves the community (completed 2024).

GLACIER WAY TRAILHEAD
Truckee, California
The Glacier Way Trailhead Project included the construction of a new parking lot and restroom facility to support trail access. Millennium completed the surveying and grading and drainage design, along with accessibility improvements to ensure safe and convenient use for all visitors. The project was thoughtfully designed to withstand extreme winter conditions, with features that accommodate snow storage and snowplow operations during the winter season. Overall, the trailhead provides an important community amenity for Truckee, with a future trail planned to further enhance connectivity and recreational access (completed 2025).
ROCKER MEMORIAL SKATE PARK
Truckee, California
Rocker Memorial Skatepark is a community-driven project funded by a local nonprofit organization to construct a 25,000-square-foot outdoor skatepark within the Truckee Donner Recreation and Parks District. Millennium assisted with land use entitlements, surveying, and civil engineering, including a Development Permit, Minor Use Permit, and Zoning Clearance. In addition to the skatepark, the project includes engineering for a parking lot, trail improvements, roadway enhancements, and a comprehensive drainage system designed to direct stormwater runoff to treatment areas while protecting the adjacent wetland. Currently in the fundraising phase, the project is anticipated to become a vibrant and valued recreational amenity for the Truckee community.
